The Westminster Approach

Westminster Schools of Augusta has a gospel-centered approach, which provides a strong foundation for, and lends distinctiveness to all of their programs. All students in grades PK3 to 12 attend Chapel at least once weekly. These weekly services are all student-led, with their students joining in worship and prayer. Speakers from within the community give powerful messages to their student body. Classes usually have a 7-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio, so students get that individualized experience that helps them with one-on-one learning. 

Pre-K through Kindergarten

Programs range from Pre-K until grade 12, and each program offers unique experiences for your kids. The younger programs for 3 and 4-year-olds before kindergarten center around hands-on experiences and exploration. Additionally, children will be active participants in their learning through games and activities, songs, movement, art, and play. In kindergarten, students enjoy the process of discovery, learning the basic building blocks of knowledge, and learning how to interact positively with classmates, teachers, and the world. 

Lower and Middle School

In the Lower School, developmentally appropriate activities combined with needed social skills produce responsible and motivated students. Students learn new concepts and receive daily challenges to use their talents to glorify God. In the Middle School program, students are challenged to become more independent in the learning process and develop the skills necessary to meet their potential in and out of the classroom. In addition, students love the opportunities to be creative and develop critical thinking skills. They do this through coursework and hands-on learning experiences where they grow emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually as they prepare for Upper School.

In Westminster Schools of Augusta, the Upper School program provides:

Extracurricular Activities at Westminster Schools of Augusta

Students develop passions and skills for the future, from Dr. Seuss to theoretical physics and outdoor classrooms. Westminster Schools of Augusta provides students with many opportunities to become leaders and develop into well-rounded individuals. Westminster Schools of Augusta encourages student leadership as an integral part of school life. Having spiritual, social, and service leadership roles is a requirement for students. All students work cohesively as a team in support of one another and ultimately receive tasks with leading the student body. 

No matter what grade your child enters, they learn leadership and prepare for whatever the future throws at them. Faculty encourages students to engage in sports while enrolled, and sports offered include cheerleading, clay shooting, cross country, football, volleyball, golf, tennis, basketball, swimming, baseball, and track. Westminster Schools of Augusta also offers excellent fine arts programs, including chorus, theater, band, and yearbook. They have so many fun student clubs, including a card game club, coffee, and chess club, corn hole club, Disney movie club, spikeball club, video game club, and so many more. There is something for everyone! 

Westminster Schools of Augusta Tuition

The school’s tuition depends on the grade the student is in. But, the tuition covers books, field trips, and various supply and technology fees. Westminster Schools of Augusta offers financial assistance through scholarships, financial aid, and grants. For additional fees, they also provide after-school care until 6 PM.
