After birth, should you little one need additional support, they have a 40-bed Level III Special Care Nursery that is filled with the best, specialized nursing staff that will treat your baby like their own.

Doctor’s Hospital Labor and Delivery

Doctor’s Hospital Labor and Delivery, also known as the Clyde A. Burgamy Center for Women is a family-centered birthing centers in Augusta, GA that focuses on making all decisions based on what you and your family wants. Accredited as the only Baby-Friendly hospital in Georgia, Doctor’s is very passionate and dedicated to successful breastfeeding for mom and baby.

With 29 private labor and delivery rooms, it will be smaller than Piedmont but still a great asset to the Augusta Birthing Centers for local moms-to-be. All physicians and nurses are certified in fetal monitoring so they can care best for you and your baby both pre- and post-birth.

With a Level II nursery, they will be able to support your little one if they need extra attention after birth. Unfortunately, if the baby requires more attention though, they will be transferred to Children’s Hospital as they are only a level II nursery.

As a locked floor of the hospital, safety is a top concern of Doctor’s Hospital Labor and Delivery. While you can absolutely have visitors during the day, no one that should not be on the floor will be there.
